Langlaufer going home

The subject of this painting is of course the tree…..but there is a langlaufer in the painting. The tree is probably old enough to have seen winters since the first word war. One can find a sense of calm by contemplating such a tree and such a history. I hope you enjoy the silent and peace of the mountains!
